Pain affects everyone.

MONOS HEALTH can help

PAIN MANAGEMENT

The objectives of interventional pain  management are to pinpoint the source of a patient’s pain and to direct treatment specifically to that source. If the lesion responsible for the pain cannot itself be treated, then intervention can target the nerves that mediated the pain in order to block nociception. Interventional pain management requires expensive, specialized facilities, a license to practice invasive procedures, and the training to do so.

Many people with chronic pain can be helped if they understand all the causes of pain and the many and varied steps that can be taken to undo what chronic pain has done. Scientists believe that advances in neuroscience will lead to more and better treatments for chronic pain in the years to come.

Preventing and Treating An Addiction

An addiction specialist is a physician who has specific knowledge and skills to provide prevention, screening, intervention, and treatment for substance use and addiction.  Addiction can involve any one or more of these substances:  alcohol, tobacco, or other addicting drugs, including some prescription medications. In addition, addiction specialists can recognize and treat the psychological and physical complications of addiction.

Our approach to addiction is holistic and non-judgmental.  Addiction is a disease that manifests differently in each patient, so the treatment of addiction must be individualized.  This requires a partnership between patient and physician, and a vigorous line of communication between them.  We strive to earn the trust of our patients to ensure that this partnership can develop. Because addiction is a chronic disease, adjustments in therapy are often necessary – trust and communication are vital to ensuring that the most accurate and effective methods of treatment, such as suboxone therapy, are chosen for specific types of addiction.
